Samir Kapadia, COO of the Vogel Group, "President Biden's Steel Plan: Success or Setbacks?"
Having spent a decade in policymaking and consulting in Washington, D.C., New York and Mumbai, Samir helps some of the largest companies in the world understand how Washington can create risk or drive business growth. With a bipartisan background, his previous policy experience includes serving Congressman Frank Wolf (R-VA) and Senator Mark Warner (D-VA). At the Vogel Group, Samir leads the firm's trade practice, advising clients on issues relating to tariffs and supply chain strategy. In 2019 and 2020, Samir was ranked as the top lobbyist on tariff issues in Washington, D.C. based on volume of cases before Congress, federal agencies and the White House. Samir has represented numerous multinational companies in connection with the regulatory and policy issues related to Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) strategy and implementation, including directing and managing negotiations with states related to economic incentives and investment credits. Over the past three years, he has advised on $1.2 billion in FDI, generating nearly $75 million in incentives for manufacturers. A recognized expert on issues related to the steel industry, Samir has represented a broad cross-section of producers and suppliers. Samir received his BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. Samir lives in Washington, D.C. with his fiancé Sofia Longoria. Samir was featured on the cover of The New York Times in 2021for his work in India.

A.W. Armstrong is a Principal Account Manager with Tetra Tech in Austin, Texas. A.W. has more than 25 years of experience helping clients address environmental, safety and sustainability-related issues. His experience ranges from program development, management systems, and business process optimization to human factor causal analyses, due-diligence reviews, and environmental liability management. A.W. is a former Program Director for the U.S. Business Council on Sustainable Development where he supported efforts to develop regional By-Product Synergy Hubs in Chicago and Houston and a former chair of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s Pollution Prevention Advisory Committee which helped develop the Clean Texas Environmental Management Program. In his spare time, A.W. enjoys backpacking, biking, and trying to play guitar.

Becca Followill, Senior Managing Director, US Capital Advisors, "An Update on the Midstream Market"
Mrs. Followill is Head of Research and a Senior Managing Director covering Midstream Infrastructure at U.S. Capital Advisors. She is also a member of USCA's Operating Committee. In addition to her over 20 years in equity research, her diversified energy background includes experience in reservoir engineering, power plant development and natural gas pipeline planning and operations. Prior to joining U.S. Capital Advisors, she was a Managing Director and Head of Midstream Research for Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co, covering pipelines, integrated natural gas companies and midstream providers. Before that, she was with Howard Weil, covering the Gas and power sectors and with Merrill Lynch, covering natural gas utilities. She also spent 11 years for various Tenneco divisions, including Tenneco Inc., Tennessee Gas Pipeline and Tenneco Oil Company. Thomson Reuters named Mrs. Followill as the number two stock picker for Oil, Gas and Consumable Fuels for 2016. In 2019, she was named one of the 25 Influential Women in Energy. Mrs. Followill has a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Houston. She resides in Houston with her husband.

Barry Schneider, Steel Dynamics, Inc., "State of the Industry"
Barry Schneider joined the Steel Dynamics team in 1995 where he has gained experience through many aspects of the business including melting and casting, flat roll and hot strip. Barry served in several positions throughout his career
with Steel Dynamics before accepting his current role as Senior Vice President of the Flat Roll Steel Group. In this capacity, Barry has responsibility for all of the flat rolled divisions of Steel Dynamics: the Butler Indiana
Division: the Columbus Mississippi Division: the Techs Facilities: the Heartland Division in Terre Haute, Indiana; and the soon to be constructed flat roll facility in Sinton, Texas. Barry earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Mechanical Engineering in 1990 and a Master of Science Degree in Engineering Management in 2011, both from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. In 2019, Barry completed an executive certificate program in Technology, Operations,
and Value Chain Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He and his wife of thirty years, Verna, have two children and reside in Roanoke, Indiana. Their son, Stone, is a Chemical Engineer working in Indianapolis, Indiana,
and their daughter, Gates, is a researcher at the Salk Institute in La Jolla, California.
