Optional NASPD Activities

Golf Tournament - Mountain Dell Golf Course

The NASPD Golf Tournament, sponsored by J. Joseph, will be held at Mountain Dell Golf Course, and includes a round of golf and a cart, with a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. Transportation from the Hyatt Centric is provided and will leave the hotel at 12:00 pm returning at 8:00 pm. A box lunch upon arrival and happy hour after the tournament will be provided courtesy of J. Joseph.

*Includes: 18 holes of golf, shared golf cart, and prepared score cards.

 
Fly-Fishing Tour

The NASPD hosted Wasatch Fly-Fishing Tour is a half-day tour, leaving at 8:00 am and returning at noon. Transportation is provided from and to the Hyatt Centric. Waders, boots, flies, rods, and all fly-fishing gear are provided. Please dress appropriately for the season; layers are always a good way to start, and sunglasses and hats are always recommended. Also, long socks will be most comfortable with the neoprene booties provided.

**You are responsible for purchasing your own Fishing License. Please visit the Utah Hunting & Fishing License webpage to purchase your 3-day Non-Resident License.

Half-Day Rafting Tour


Organized by NASPD - $140

The NASPD hosted Half-Day Rafting Tour near Park City will offer a fun and scenic 2.5-hour ride, departing the hotel at 1:00 pm and returning to the hotel around 5:00 pm. Transportation from and back to the Hyatt Centric is provided. 

Please be sure to bring the following essentials:

  • Sunscreen (better yet, cover up with lightweight long sleeves and long pants or capris)
  • Hat and sunglasses
  • Full water bottle per person
  • Light snacks (such as granola bars)
  • Quick-dry clothes and/or a change of clothes
  • Rain jacket (if rainy)
  • Any necessary medication
  • Water sandals are best (something like Keen close-toed sandals) or tennis shoes. Your feet will get wet, and it is rocky where you will be. Flip flops are NOT recommended.

Other Activities

Private Photography Workshop and Sightseeing in Wasatch Mountains

Be guided by a Utah local and an expert photographer through the Wasatch Mountains as you spend the day taking photographs and sightseeing around this beautiful natural landscape. This is about a half day experience, which can be catered to your fitness level, and interests. Your instructor will show you tricks on composition, techniques, and camera settings, and give you time to explore by yourself.

Park City Mountain Village Mountain Coaster

Mountains meet amusement park with Park City’s amazing Alpine Coaster, a thrilling and unique ride you must experience. The coaster features an elevated track that twists and turns over a mile of loops, curves, and turns, offering spectacular views of mountain scenery. Each car can fit two passengers, and you are responsible for driving the car over the track. If racing downhill through fields and mountain terrain appeals to you, then you don’t want to miss the Alpine Coaster.

 Wasatch Mountain State Park

Wasatch Mountain State Park is a nearly 23,000-acre preserve. The park provides year-round recreation, including camping, picnicking, hiking, mountain biking,  golf, off-highway vehicle and horseback riding. Little Deer Creek is popular for off road enthusiasts.

Wasatch Mountain State Park was proud host of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games at Soldier Hollow. The venue remains open to the public year-round with a variety of activities and events.

The park offers two historic areas, Historic Tate Barn and Huber Grove. Tate Barn stands as a sentry at the southern end of the park. It is an important architectural landmark and a symbol for the Heber Valley.
